Gordon Murray Design's eight new models revealed

Seven are lightweight, low-emissions cars based on his radical new iStream manufacturing technique, and the last is a new supercar that he says will have 'an enormous amount in common' with his iconic McLaren F1.You read CAR's first full appraisal of the T25 in the new September 2010 issue of CAR Magzine, out on 18 August. Lowie Vermeersch resigns from Pininfarina

CDN has learned that Lowie Vermeersch has resigned from Pininfarina, where he was Design Director. According to our sources, the Belgian designer has left to pursue other as yet unnamed ventures in the design industry. Vermeersch has been at Pininfarina for the last 12 years, leading the design team that created the new Ferrari 458 as well as the Duettottanta and Sintesi concept cars.

RIP Anatole ‘Tony’ Lapine 1930–2012

Anatole ‘Tony’ Lapine, head of Style Porsche from 1969 to 1988, passed away at the age of 81 on 29 April at his home in Baden-Baden, Germany. Lapine is best known for overseeing the then new generation of cars during his time at Porsche. These included Wolfgang Möbius' iconic 1978 928 and the Harm Lagaay-designed 924/944.
