Check out this MONSTER sized trolling motor. The guy I got it from converted it from bow to transom mount. Just the transom clamp was 50 dollars. I do not have the old bow mount. He said a new unit like this is over 1000 dollars. I am including a tiller extension handle.  Batteries are NOT included. I can make a  new 36 volt 18 amp battery back and include a charger for an additional 100 dollars when you pick up the motor. But any 3 batteries hooked in series will work. You can get 3 12 volt 7 amp scooter batteries, including delivery to your home, for less than 45 dollars. See for yourself!! Dozens of e-bay vendors have them. Motor is sold as is,but will proudly demonstrate before accepting cash. Prop is in excellent condition too. This machine pushes a 10 foot aluminum jonboat with over 400 pounds of people and gear at 10 mph. It almost planes off. Put the right pitch prop on there and it probably would. The wiring is a little weird, but that is how I got it. It has worked flawlessly for mew,so I have left well enough alone. I have a vintage moped project listed on here too if you happen to know anybody interested in that. Thanks for looking.

White House pushes for Friday deal on fuel-economy regulations

Wed, 27 Jul 2011

The White House wants to announce as early as Friday that it has reached agreement with most automakers on a plan to raise corporate average fuel economy targets to 54.5 mpg by 2025, manufacturers' representatives said Wednesday. While no automakers have signed on to the Obama administration plan yet, most--including Ford, Toyota, General Motors and Chrysler--are generally supportive and intend to do so, the industry officials said. Each manufacturer is trying to iron out technical issues with the White House before endorsing the proposal.
