Kia to show KND-7 concept at CES in Las Vegas

Even though just a few years ago cars weren't a prominent part of the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, it is now an event filled with automakers and their concept cars. And for the 2014 edition of the massive show, Kia will bring their KND-7 concept. The KND-7 features a 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI (gasoline direct injection) four-cylinder engine good for 201-hp, along with cheeky exterior design.

Toyota Motor Corp. plans to introduce 11 new or redesigned hybrid vehicles by 2012, but the carmaker is hardly neglecting the humble internal combustion engine. Takeshi Uchiyamada, executive vice president in charge of r&d, also wants to increase the fleet's fuel efficiency by putting turbochargers and direct fuel injection in smaller vehicles.

Hong-ik University held its 9th Project Exhibition from October 28th to November 3rd in Seoul, Korea. Featuring works from the 2007 graduation show and junior, sophomore semester shows, graduating students presented their proposals of next generation luxury sedan for their favorite brands. "Works of past graduation shows at Hong-ik so far have been quite conceptual; however this year's graduating students were required to take on a more challenging theme: designing traditional luxury sedans," said Prof.
