The Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster in the 2011 Super Bowl Advert It’s been quite a long time coming, the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster. The Mercedes SLS AMG Coupe made its debut at Frankfurt in 2009, complete with Gullwing doors and a two-fingered salute to McLaren. And not long after that we had a photo of its topless sibling – the SLS AMG Roadster – out playing.

The new Audi Show Car heading for Detroit 2014 The 2014 Detroit Auto Show is on the way next month, and Audi are heading to Motor City with a concept they haven’t managed to come up with a name for – all they’ve managed is the ‘New Audi Show Car’. So what is it? Audi say the new Concept is a two-door model with high ground clearance and a sporty slant – a Crossover car seemingly designed to be all things to all men.

Saab back online as NEVS rebuilds the Saab Brand

The Saab website has now come back online with NEVS (National Electric Vehicle Sweden) outlining its plans to rebuild the Saab Brand. Back in September the long-running Saab Saga was finally concluded, with the sale of what’s left of Saab after Victor Muller’s  little adventure saw Saab left as nothing more than another defunct icon brand from the annuls of motoring history, with NEVS taking control of Saab. The plan is to build a range of electric cars in Trollhattan and China, initially based on the Saab 9-3 platform but eventually developing the Phoenix platform in to the basis for Saab’s future.
