This auction is for a Mitchell Trim Servo, part number IC345-4-321, serial number 1343. It is also Piper part number 596-206 and was originally installed on a Piper PA-34 Seneca.  This trim servo is in used condition and includes the "overhauled" parts tag from the last time it was overhauled in January of 1996. I do not know if this unit is a serviceable part, of if it should only be considered as a candidate for overhauling. We have no way to test it so we are selling it "as is". The Port Townsend Aero Museum received this servo as part of a large donation made to us by a gentleman who was retiring from his long time aircraft repair business. This control servo was included in his inventory of used parts which he deemed "serviceable" or as "core".  As with any used aircraft part  you will need to have your licensed aircraft mechanic determine the airworthiness of this part prior to installation into your aircraft.

This servo unit is being offered for auction by the Port Townsend Aero Museum in Port Townsend Washington. We are a non-profit 501 C-3 organization that is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and operation of antique and classic aircraft through the involvement of our local youth population. If you have a minute you can learn more about our aero museum on the internet by searching for Port Townsend Aero Museum.

The winning bidder will need to contact us within 24 hours regarding payment. Payment is due within 72 hours of the auction closing. Paypal is our preferred method of payment. Overseas bidders must use Paypal if they win the bid.

Thank you.

MINI’s Olympic Marketing Masterstroke

Wed, 08 Aug 2012

BMW has spent £40 million sponsoring the 2012 London Olympics, but it’s a small fleet of remote controlled MINI’s that provide the value. BMW has done all it can to promote its sponsorship of the 2012 London Olympics, and with a spend said to be in the region of £40 million, who can blame them? But it’s not just local shopkeepers and enthusiastic small businesses that are hamstrung by Olympic rules on advertising, the Olympic sponsors are too.

Daimler to axe Maybach in 2013. New Mercedes S Class Pullman instead

Fri, 25 Nov 2011

Maybach Axed We’ve been preidtcing the demise of Maybach for some time. After all, who wants an old S Class with chintzy trim and lots of toys for more money than a Rolls Royce Phantom? And now it seems that Daimler has also realised their revival of the Maybach has fallen flat on its face (except in Germany and to a pair from the Dragons’ Den) and it’s time to move on.

The Citroen Nouveau C3 tease which appeared on Facebook Citroen has revealed a teaser image on Facebook for something they are dubbing Citroen Nouveau C3. Now to us – linguistic geniuses that we are – Nouveau means ‘New’. But often in a somewhat derogatory sense.
