Who's Where: GM's new Asian and European design studio appointments

New additions have been made to the design management teams at General Motors, both in Asia and in Europe. Effective today (August 1), Friedhelm Engler begins his new role as Director of Design for the Pan Asian Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), based in Shanghai, China.  He is responsible for all design related activities in the joint venture between General Motors and the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. Group (SAIC).

Mini USA celebrates 10-year anniversary

Mini USA issued a celebratory press release on Wednesday marking the 10th anniversary of its entry into the U.S. car market. We’ve covered the reveal of the 2013 Ford Fusion from the Detroit Auto Show and pointed out that, to all intents and purposes, the Fusion North America gets is pretty much the same car we’ll see as the 2013 Ford Mondeo. But just so there’s no confusion, we’ve got the first photos of the 2013 Mondeo in pre-production guise, just so you can see how similar the Mondeo will be to the Fusion.
