Fri, 13 Aug 2010Sky's 3D pub channel will this weekend host the premiere of a 3D film showing David Coulthard driving the Mercedes SLS supercar around the Isle of Man. Click here to see the making of the 3D Merc SLS video.It was shot using a second SLS carrying a brace of 3D camera gear bolted to the back. After Sky's premiere, CAR Online will show the film here this autumn.Sky's 3D channel shows in 3000 pubs (click here to find your nearest pub). Plans for Smart’s three-seat sports car uncovered in patent drawings
Mon, 03 Aug 2009Mercedes-Benz is developing a three-seat sports car for Smart. Depicted here in a series of European patent-application sketches obtained by AutoWeek, the radical new sports car forms part of an extended range of new Smart models planned for introduction by the middle of the next decade, including a more conventional four-seater to be produced in cooperation with Renault. Mercedes-Benz is reacting to increased competition from Toyota in the form of the iQ and the impending arrival of similar urban-based offerings from premium-brand rivals Audi and BMW.
