Mk2 Golf / Jetta(2nd Generation) Vw Speedometer, Works Like New (90-93) on 2040-parts.com

Is your speedometer broken? does the speed needle work but the mileage counter not turn? Well, unless you want to pay some serious $$ for someone to fix it, your best choice is to buy this one. youll save about $50 or more as opposed to going to a shop, assuming you can find one willing to work on your old speedometer. These speedometers are not produced by any manufacturer on the market. therefore, the only ones in existence are the OEM ones. VDO does not carry these. 

This is an OEM speedometer for the Volkswagen Mark 2 (2nd generation) Golf/Jetta. this came off of a 1992 Jetta, and I believe this will work for all 2nd gen Golf/Jetta models from ( 90-93) and perhaps other models such as the Fox, corrado, etc. as well. This speedometer works, as well as the odometer which reads 241,027 miles. However, I can set the mileage to whatever you would like! **please specify the mileage you would like within 24 hrs of your payment. if no mileage is specified, it will be shipped with the mileage in the picture.

Compatability;  okay, so like i said this came off of an 92 Jetta. This speedometer does not have prongs on the back,  in the top left that plug into the circuit panel like earlier model years. It may or may not work for first generation Jetta/Golfs. 

Does not come with the Cruise Control apparatus. If your vehicle does have cruise control, the unit may be removed from your old speedometer and fit to this one.

Will this work on your car? the best thing to do would be to pull off your gauge cluster and take out your speedometer to check, or have a mechanic do it. all you need is a phillips head screwdriver to take it out. If you decide to do this i can provide you a step-by-step on the process with pics to help. (it would also save you quite a bit on shop fees). Anyway, look at the pictures and if yours looks the exact same, then rest assured it will work. if it does not look exactly the same front and back, just ask and i can verify its compatibility. I am not sure what model year they changed the circuit panel and speedometers, but if you tell me the year of your vehicle i may be able to tell you for sure weather it will work. or if you want, send a pic or something of yours.
