Up for sale is a used mk3 94-99.5 VW Volkswagen Jetta/Golf/GTI Front DRIVERS SIDE Steering Wheel Air Bag. Air Bag is in good condition and was not giving any air bag codes prior to removal so it should be 100% functional. there is no way besides deploying the airbag myself to test it so obviously it has not been tested. Car was scanned by VAGCOM prior to the air bags removal and the air bag checked out so there should be no reason that it would not deploy when needed and isn't functioning! Please check fitment before purchase as this air bag will only fit certain steering wheels so make sure this is the part you need BEFORE purchase. General Motors is studying the feasibility of reusing the rear-wheel-drive performance sedan for law enforcement and the general public, vice chairman Bob Lutz said in an online chat Monday. “The G8 has finally been discovered by a broader percentage of the buying public,” Lutz said on GM's FastLane blog.
