Chris Evans CarFest: It’s all coming together
Wed, 08 Aug 2012Chris Evans’ CarFest South & CarFest North are on track to deliver great weekends of petrolhead delight at Laverstoke Park Farm & Cholmondeley Castle. It will go on public display for the first time at this weekend's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa D'Este on the shores of Lake Como in Italy.

The range extender engine was part of a joint project between Lotus, Jaguar, MIRA and Caparo in conjunction with the Technology Strategy Board and was designed to provide charge – rather than drive – for hybrid cars. A solution that seems far more elegant than the current Prius-type setups.
