Mercedes S63 and S65 AMG debut at Shanghai
Mon, 20 Apr 2009Mercedes revealed the S63 and S65 AMG (pictured) at the Shanghai Motor Show today In yet another demonstration of how important emerging car markets are to premium car makers, Mercedes has chosen to unveil its top two S Class models – the Mercedes S63 AMG and the Mercedes S65 AMG - at the Shanghai Motor Show today. These range-topping S Class Mercedes get the same updates as the lesser siblings (and the Hybrid S400) we told you about a week ago. But this isn’t a new model – just a mid-cycle refresh of the S Class in general.
Small but safe: the Fiat 500

The 500's score of 35 points puts it ahead of cars like the Mini and Renault Clio while the 500’s closest rival, the Renault Twingo, only achieved four stars in the latest tests. The 500’s 35 points bettered the Twingo’s 28, as did its 14 point to the Renault’s 11 for pedestrian safety (though both ratings are equivalent to two stars).
CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition - Exterior Phase Launched
Thu, 11 Aug 2011We're pleased to announce the launch of the second phase of the CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition, which challenges design students in North America to create an exterior design in response to briefs from each of GM's four brands – Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC. This second, exterior design phase of the competition – which can be found at www.cardesigncontest.com – follows on from the previous interiors design phase and again challenges students to design against briefs set by each of GM's four brands. Remember, you don't have to have entered or registered for the interiors phase in order to take part in this exterior phase of the competition.
