New For your Mopar buildup: A new aluminum timing chain cover for small-block Mopars, 273, 318, 340, and 360 CID, incl. "A" (poly) 1956-1967, and all "LA" (wedge) 1964-'91. Will not fit '92-up.
This features the improved cast-in driver-side timing degree scale and an easy-to-swap (removes-from-front) seal. If used on a dead-stock 1956-'68 engine, you can bolt on your pass-side timing scale and install it with this new cover. If used on a stock 1969 setup, you'll need a '68-down scale (not included). The best swap on '69-down engines, however, is a complete changeover to the much-improved '70-up style water pump, brackets, rad., damper, etc.
Many timing covers corrode around the water holes, causing a mysterious leak of water into the oil. Pitting is common! A fresh housing solves this.
