Mopar 440 Engine Stroker 496ci on 2040-parts.com

This is important... This is not a car for sale. Just the Long Block. All the accessories, intake and exhaust manifolds, valve covers oil pan need to go back on the original 413 crossram engine. This a professionally built engine that was in my 1964 Chrysler 300K. The car was seen in three magazines, then put in storage and not driven. I've decided I want to restore this vintage MoPar back to stock. It's still in the car, running, if you're local and want to hear it so you know exactly what you're getting before I pull the engine. There's no way to capture the work in "photos" so I apologize. The 440 block was bored and stroked and is actually 496ci. With the Edlebrock aluminum heads it speced out at 10.4:1 compression and runs on 91 octane fuel. Mopar H-beam rods and 4.15 crank, JE pistons. The valvetrain is from Hughes Engines and consists of their Hydraulic Roller Lifters, custom pushrods, 1.6 ratio roller rocker arms, shafts, hold downs and beehive springs. The cam is a custom grind, Hydraulic Roller Cam from Muscle Motors. The actual lift due to the 1.6 ratio rockers is .574 on intake and .578 exhaust. Double roller chain, Bronze drive gear, cam button, high volume oil pump, balanced and blueprinted. Block clearanced and lifter galley gliptol sealed, it’s done right with no Chinese parts and barely broken in with about 2000 miles on it. I have the balance sheet, the bobweight card and receipts. I would entertain selling the intakes and complete fuel injection setup, possibly the entire car. Please feel free to contact me for details. Happy to discuss via telephone. Obviously I will ship this engine but it was easier to list as "Local Pickup Only". I will shrink wrap and build a crate to secure it. Bids can be obtained from Uship or other means. This engine would be a great addition to a Dodge Charger Challenger Coronet Super Bee Dart Demon R/T or Plymouth Road Runner GTX Satellite Barracuda 'Cuda Duster 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 On Apr-15-16 at 19:17:36 PDT, seller added the following information: |

Ford's Mulally gets warm reception at CES
Fri, 07 Jan 2011Ford CEO Alan Mulally introduced the Focus electric at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show on Friday in a presentation that was short on details about the car and long on cures for range anxiety. That's partly because Ford is saving details about the car for next week' Detroit auto show, and partly because range anxiety figures to be a major reason for all but the most committed customers to avoid electric vehicles like the Ford Focus electric. Mulally managed to avoid using the term, but said Ford is confronting range anxiety head-on.

Video: How DGT Architects created Renault's Paris show stand
Mon, 29 Oct 2012The creators of the Renault stand at this year's Paris motor show have released a video explaining how they created one of the most popular show stands in recent years. The DGT Architects-designed Renault stand – named ‘The Bump' – was one of the stars of the show this year with its curves and lighting drawing praise and attracting admirers from across the event. A total of 388 large squashed light globes that softly glowed a variety of colors were hung from the ceiling and simulated the movements of waves as they illuminated the stand below. To convey a sense of motion to the cars underneath, DGT used the movement of the lights and the creation of two hills.
