here is a very nice used hurst shifter for 4 speed a-body mopar vehicles.
Brand:hurst

We have for sale one very nice used Hurst Ram Rod in line 4 speed shifter for Mopar A833 transmission in A-Body models.

This is a very nice unit, it was removed from a 1971 Dodge Demon 340 drag car, this shifter has less than 50 passes on it.

The chrome on the handles is near perfect, with a couple of scratches from use, there is not rust or pitting on the chrome. The handle is the aluminum hurst pistol grip style that came with the shifter when new, this shifter has a separate lever for reverse, very cool.

This shifter was purchased new many years ago, when you could still get them new, it was installed on the demon and used for a while, then removed and stored for several years, indoors out of the light of day, so it is like a time capsule from the 70`s This shifter includes the rods and linkage to install it on an a833 new process four speed transmission, The 3-4 rod has a little scuffing on it from the floor pan. If you want to go drag racing with an a-833 this is the set up you will need for an A-body, including Dart, Duster, Demon, Barracuda and Valiant as well as Dart Sport models

The special mounting bracket is included as well, the boot is still very pliable and in nice shape, I see no tears or rips in it.

This shifter does not include the bezel for the shifter boot or the 3 mounting bolts for the shifter to the transmission. This shifter is basically the way it was when removed, all the pieces are there, and the bushings and clips are like new, all hurst since we bought the rods and installation kit when we purchased this shifter, you will be impressed with how little use is on this shifter and linkage, it is an excellent shape.

you will need to readjust the rods and stops for your application. This shifter has very little wear or corrosion on it, the only rust I see is on the shaft

for the pull up handle on the front of the shifter , and it is very little at all.

This shifter is an in line 4 speed shifter intended for drag racing, as such it may not be suitable for street applications, though it certainly will work.

The floor pan must be modified for this shifter to fit in a factory application, in other words you must cut the floor pan to use this.

This shifter will work on 1964-1976 Dodge and Plymouth A-Body models using the factory A 833 4 speed transmission, with some modifications needed as required. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description. This is as close to a new shifter and all the hardware to mount it as I have seen anywhere.

Here is the chance to buy a unique shifter for Mopar a-body cars, and an inline shifter to boot. Please note that this is not the normal H pattern shifter

used on most pedestrian cars, this as a drag racing type shifter, made by Hurst, back in the day. Thanks.

David Brown’s Speedback is an Aston Martin DB5 for 2014 (video)

Fri, 28 Mar 2014

The David Brown Automotive Speedback (pictured) revaled ahead of Monaco debut Last month we revealed that the David Brown Automotive’s take on a classic, luxury British Sports Car would be based on the underpinnings of the Jaguar XKR, and we’d expected another classic E-type creation like the Lyonheart K being built by Envisage (as is the David Brown car). In fact, the David Brown Speedback – for that is what David Brown is calling his company’s creation – looks instead like a classic Aston Martin from the 1960s – think DB5 or DB6 – with perhaps a few hints of Maserati and Ferrari from the same era too. And it looks great.
