8 Bolt Billet Aluminum Flywheel w/ 130T Ring Gear

10.5 Inch Clutch Surface & Weighs 11 Lb.- 5 oz.

Fits Internally Balanced Mopar Engines w/ 8 Bolt Crank

I purchased a Brand New complete transmission swap kit second hand from a local guy, who purchased it from Keisler Engineering and was forced to sell his project. He ordered the kit for his project, which had an 8 bolt crank. My project has a 6 bolt crank, therefore I can't use this part of the kit. This flywheel was shipped(to the original owner) with the clutch assembly mounted to it(which I have removed for use on my project). The only blemishes (see pictures) are from the clutch being mounted to this flywheel(by Keisler Engineering). This flywheel has never been mounted to a crank, and has never been ran on an engine. Keisler Engineering used a McLeod clutch assembly for this kit, so I can only assume that this flywheel is McLeod also. There are no part numbers stamped on the flywheel to confirm though. Obviously, the recessed holes that the hex head clutch mounting bolts go through have blemishes, from the round hole "locking" the hex head in place for tightening purposes. Also, there is very slight surface rust on the clutch disc mating surface. It does not cover the entire surface, but only where the clutch disc material was making contact with the flywheel. This surface blemishing can not be felt by my finger, so it has not caused any pitting that I can feel. It would probably come off with steel wool, if you so choose to remove before installation. Personally, I wouldn't waste my time because the friction caused by the first few engagements of the clutch-to-flywheel (behind a mighty mopar engine) will probably erase it anyway.

The lightest of steel flywheels (for this application) are in the 28 pound range.

This billet aluminum flywheel, with steel clutch engagement insert, only weighs 11 pounds - 5 ounces.

This 60% weight savings allows much faster RPM climbs (a.k.a. throttle response).

These Aluminum flywheels retail for over $500, at the cheapest retailers!!

I have set a reserve price that is at least 45%, and a Buy It Now price that is at least 25% LOWER than purchasing from a retailer.

Mon, 03 Jan 2011

Ford tease the Focus Electric on their Facebook page. Ford has promised that there will be an electric version of the 2011 Ford Focus by 2012. Which we’ve gone on record as saying is a daft idea.
