Suzuki's C segment Crossover headed for Geneva

Suzuki has released the first two images of its new C Segment Crossover ahead of its premiere at next month's Geneva show. Unfortunately, apart from the two renders Suzuki has revealed little else about the car other than the fact that it's based on the S-Cross concept that we saw at last September's Paris show. We'll only find out what the car's name is in Geneva.

Councils to cut roadworks red tape

COUNCILS in England could soon have the power to cut red tape and make road works much quicker and more accountable. The plan is to introduce permits for any company that wants to dig up a road, which means they will have to co-ordinate their work with other companies and local authorities to reduce the impact of delays on the public. The permit scheme could come into force as early as April 2015 and means anyone applying for a permit to carry out road works will need to present a convincing case for the work.

The 2012 Geneva motor show will see Mini further expand its brand with a new commercial model. The Clubvan concept is essentially a panel van variant of the Clubman wagon, pitched at premium small business as an up-market alternative to the traditional city van. The Clubvan retains the Clubman's asymmetrical body shell, complete with double rear doors and the small 'club door' on the right-hand side of the car.
