Chevy Malibu Eco hybrid is a tough sell

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

Most prospective Chevrolet Malibu buyers at Castle Chevrolet in suburban Chicago quickly decide that they don't want to pay nearly $3,000 more for the Eco mild-hybrid version. "For most people, it's hard to justify the extra money based on the extra fuel economy" of a combined 3 mpg more than the base model, says Jeff Tuckman, the dealership's inventory manager. Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition revealed – unlikely to make the UK

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

The Ford Mustang 50 Year Special Edition The Ford Mustang is a very big deal in the US, so it’s no surprise Ford are producing a special model to celebrate the launch of the first Mustang in 1964. The Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition – yes, it does what it says on the tin – is based on the 2015 Mustang GT Fastback with Performance Pack and a choice of just two colours - Wimbledon White (the one in the photos) or Kona Blue – with either a manual or auto gearbox. Nods to the original design include chrome bezels round the bottom of the tail lights, a fake fuel filler cap on the back and louvered rear quarter windows.

Mullin Museum to open next month

Fri, 19 Mar 2010

What promises to be one of the most significant automotive-museum openings in decades will take place next month when collector Peter Mullin opens the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, Calif. Mullin is known for his love of French cars, and the museum will have more than 100 of them. Graceful and elegant Delahayes, Delages, Talbot-Lagos, Voisins, Hispano-Suizas and Bugattis will all be on hand, wrapped in voluptuous forms from coachbuilders Chapron, Figoni et Falaschi, Gangloff, Vanvooren, Labourdette, Letourneur et Marchand and Saoutchik, among others.
