Up for grabs is a slightly used uconnect module removed from a 2014 Wrangler.

Items in auction: Uconnect module p/n 05091960AA, microphone (PEIKER) , interconnect cable (68002648AA), Installation DVD (K6869436), Tie Wraps.

The item was working when removed, it is not plug and play. It is used in multiple Fiat Chrysler vehicles.

After installation it must be programmed by your Mopar Service Center. Most dealers charge a 30 minute labor fee for this, which is around $65.00.

Programming and installation instructions are on the installation DVD included.

All pictures are of the actual item, You will need new double sided tape to mount the microphone.

Insurance changes to make shopping around easier

DRIVERS renewing their car insurance could find it easier to shop around or haggle for a discount under new proposals set out by insurers. The Association of British Insurers (ABI) said it has written to the City regulator, suggesting that new minimum standards of information should be set across the market. The standards would mean that renewal documents for motor and home buildings and contents insurance would include the premium that the customer started the year paying alongside their renewal quote, so that they could be compared more easily.

Update: Ferrari has been on the phone to say they are NOT planning a ‘Super’ LaFerrari and that the story is as a result of a misunderstanding. We did wonder, when Ferrari revealed LaFerrari – complete with stupid name – if the only way to go in the future would be a LaLa Ferrari. It seems we won’t have to wait long to find out.
