Infiniti has unveiled its new Q50 sports sedan at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). At the front, the signature ‘double arch' waved-mesh grille features chrome surrounds while a smooth character line rises from each side, flowing backwards along the sides. A prominent line beginning behind the narrow, tapering headlamps stretches towards the rear before smoothing out underneath the crescent-cut C-pillars that are similar to those seen on the Essence Concept.

New Aston Martin DBS Villa D’Este debut The new Aston Martin DBS – codename AM 310 – will debut this weekend at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. UPDATE: The new Aston Martin DBS has been revealed at Villa D’Este The replacement for the Aston Martin DBS – which still doesn’t have a name but is being called Project AM 310 by Gaydon – is heading on a trailer to the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como for a world debut this weekend. Due to go on sale at the end of the summer, the AM 310 is, say Aston Martin, 75 per cent new.

The VW Passat Alltrack - debuts in Tokyo Volkswagen has jumped on to the Allroad bandwagon with its own take on Audi’s faux off-roader, with the reveal of the 2012 VW Passat Alltrack. As you would expect, the Passat Alltrack is a butched-up Passat Estate with a raised ride height, extra bits of plastic round the bumpers, skid plates, flared side sills and 4WD – VW’s 4MOTION – for more traction in boot sale car parks. But when you don’t need the 4WD, around 90 poer cent of the drive is through the front wheels – saving fuel – with the rear wheel drive only coming in to play when you start to slip and slide.
