Kansas City, Missouri, United States
This back drive Moroso tachometer is made for a dash bracket or dash hole of 3". It's in excellent condition but does have lens clouding and a scratch or two as the photos show the Black paint is flaking off the back side. The stainless bezel ring does not have any dings in it. These mechanical tachometers were what put Moroso on the map in the 70’s with the drag racers. Actually made by the Jones Motorola company (right on the East coast) with Stahl, Moroso and several others that had Jones/ Motorola private label the different tachometers they made.

Having a baby in our Jaguar S-type

Tue, 08 Jun 2010

Those of us that are fathers or expectant fathers, and also like driving must have occasionally daydreamed about what would happen if their wife suddenly went into labour at home and things progress rather more quickly than the oh-so-reassuring leaflets the NHS give out. Resulting in a truly heroic drive to the hospital, arriving, against all odds, just before the baby is born – to the admiration of all concerned. Including Plod, who naturally failed to keep up with you as you went through traffic lights, right angle bends and narrow country lanes at the speed of light….

Jaguar F-Type public debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Thu, 21 Jun 2012

Jaguar are giving the F-Type development prototype its first public outing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s less than three months since we discovered that the C-X16 would be the new Jaguar F-Type, but there’s been plenty of news on the spiritual successor to the E-Type since then, even though it’s the best part of a year before the F-Type launches. We know that the F-Type will come not only with the new supercharged V6 but that there will also be a V8 supercharged version of the F-Type on offer which, if it gets the full fat 550bhp version, will be a very swift cat indeed.

Thu, 27 Aug 2009

Manhart Racing has produced a BMW Z4 with the M5 V10 BMW reckons that there is no need for a Z4M, so the best Bavaria offers off the shelf is just over 300bhp. But one man has other ideas – Günther Manhart of Manhart Racing. He decided that what was really needed in the Z4 was that nice V10 from the M5.
