Moroso's universal chrome-plated dipstick kits are designed to work with a Moroso or any other oil pan with a built-in 1/4 in. NPT fitting. A 1/4 in NPT brass adapter can be adjusted upward or downward on the tube to suit a pans depth and volume. The tube and mounting tab can be bent or modified to accommodate engine compartment clearances and mounting locations. This Moroso tube is 14 in. long and is made from aluminum with a natural finish.

The Lotus Elise Club Racer Lotus may have plans to be the next Aston Martin, but for now it’s stuck with an Evora that’s not selling as well as it should and an Elise that is basically the same as the car that launched a decade ago. The plan with the Evora – apart from the rather odd move of getting Mansory to tart up an Evora – is to get the Germans in to give the Evora’s interior some class. As for the Lotus Elise, all there really is to do – because it has a hard-core clientele anyway – is to divvy up the odd special.

The last hurrah for the Discovery 4 (pictured) means more luxury options No, this isn’t news on the new Land Rover Discovery family of cars, but a bit of titivation for the current Discovery 4 before production comes to an end. Earlier this year Land Rover revealed the Discovery XXV Special Edition to celebrate 25 years of the Discovery, based it on the range-topping HSE Luxury spec and then added more gloss. And now some of that gloss is being extended across the current Discovery range as Land Rover tries to keep sales buoyant ahead of the current car’s demise.

Bentley appoints new CEO, poached from Porsche

Bentley has announced the appointment of Wolfgang Dürheimer as its new chairman and chief executive officer. He will also head up Bugatti, as did predecessor, Franz-Josef Paefgen. Dürheimer, who joins Bentley from Porsche where he headed the research and development team, will start his new role at Crewe on 1 February 2011.
