MOTOBATT FAT BOY
CHARGER
2 AMP OUTPUT
10 YEAR WARRANTY
CHARGER MAINTAINER
- Qualification Phase:
Initially ensures that the battery is in good
condition prior to launching charge processing. As a safety measure
charge process will
not begin if the battery is below 2.0V.
- Battery Rescue Phase:
MOTOBATT Battery Rescue starts it the battery
voltage has risen unusually high in the early portion or the re-charge
cycle. This is usually caused by plate
sulfation. Once the battery rescue phase has succeeded in getting the
battery to accept power,
normal battery charging will begin.
- Soft Start Phase:
Soft
Start is used when the charger has detected a battery at a very low
initial state of charge. Voltage and current are delivered
at specified
rate to help the battery to recover prior to entering Pulse charge mode. - Pulse Mode Phase:
MOTTOBATT Pulse mode provides a high frequency
pulse charge to help the newly recovered battery to continue to accept
charge as it enters the reconditioning
phase.
- Recondition Phase:
The
MOTOBATT reconditioning phase continues to work the battery at a
slightly higher voltage and amperage to
"re-activate" the battery plates
for improved
depth of charge and charge acceptance.
- Bulk Charge Phase:
With
the battery now through Pulse and reconditioning phases and well on its
way to full recovery the MOTOBATT bulk charge phase gives the battery
constant current taking the battery up to 80% of its capacity.
- Absorption Phase:
In
the MOTOBATT absorption phase the battery is given constant voltage
while the current is reduced based on action taken from monitoring the
batteries current state until the battery is 100% charged. - Check Phase:
Battery
is now checked to be sure that is holding a charge properly and a
charger will make determination and classify the battery for use.
- Maintenance Phase:
Battery can be left safely on the charger
indefinitely. The unit wills monitor the battery and "turn-on" again as
needed to maintain the battery
at a full state of readiness. |

You’ve got to hand it to the Koreans. They have certainly picked up the whole car making game in a way we haven’t seen since the Japanese got their act together a generation ago.

Toyota Tundra: the lowdown
Big, isn't it? The press conference at Detroit to unveil the new Tundra pick-up was littered with phrases beginning with 'biggest', 'most' and 'heaviest'. Welcome to the US truck market, where the ability to lug, tow and carry are more important than creature comforts or looks.

The first Automotive Interiors Expo, an event that was part of no less than five automotive trade exhibitions gathered together at the Stuttgart Messe, took place in southern Germany from the 22 to 24 of June. The exhibitions, comprising European Automotive Components Expo, Automotive Testing Expo, Vehicle Dynamics Expo and Engine Expo, showcased the latest technologies and services from over 500 suppliers to the automotive industry. Grouped in three large halls, the Expo covered conventional powertrains and batteries right through to vehicle electrical systems and crash testing, but it also featured a panel of experts discussing the color, feel and shape of material design, synergies and design challenges; safety, lighting and HMI's; and interior component design as a means of achieving sustainable and lightweight vehicles.
