Up for sale:   Used motor from a 1977 Motobecane moped. This engine was removed from a moped that had been sitting for about the past 1 and a half. I was told that it ran fine when parked. But I am listing it as a parts motor due to the fact that it was not running when removed. The carb was already missing when I received it. The motor does have compression and spins free, not stuck. I did get it to fire for a few seconds after hooking up a temporary spark plug coil and giving it a shot of starting fluid.  The motor is basically complete  (BUT IT COMES WITH NO CARB AND NO SPARK PLUG COIL)  It does come with the intake and drive belt. Some of the wiring harness is still hooked to the motor.  It also comes with the motor mount bolt, nut and spacers. Please look at picture # 5, I want to point out that the flywheel side, nut looks to have stripped and mauled, from someone who tried to remove without having the right tool and very little common sense. I just wanted to point that out. There is alot of good usable parts here. If you own one of these, this is a low cost way of getting alot of parts that you may need now or down the road.  But remember this has not ran for the last year. It a parts motor.  Would make a nice motor to rebuild for your rally ped or hang on to for a spare.  Please  look  closely  at  all the  pictures  above.  Listed  with  a  low  buy  now price.  Thanks    for    looking!!

BMW i8 fetching 50% premiums in UK market

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

The BMW i8 (pictured) is commanding a 50% premium The simple rules of a capitalist market is that supply and demand dictate price. Which is why BMW’s i8 hybrid supercar is fetching premiums of up to 50 per cent. With the entire i8 supply sold out for the next year, those with deep enough pockets – and a compelling desire for an i8 – are turning to i8 owners who have already taken delivery and making them offer they can’t refuse.

Latest news: what Magna's deal means for GM Europe By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 29 May 2009 19:31 Canadian parts giant Magna this afternoon struck an agreement in principle to buy stricken GM's European arm, Opel and Vauxhall. The agreement has not yet been confirmed publicly and is still in the early phase, but brings to an end an uncomfortable round of talks in the past 48 hours which saw a spat between American negotiators and European politicians, and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne walking away from the table.Once sealed, the deal must first be approved by the German government, which is to provide interim funding to the new owners. However, Italian car maker Fiat isn't yet totally ruled out of the running, as Magna's chief exec earlier today intimated that he could be interested in cooperation.CAR Online will update with the latest developments as they happen.

Porsche 918 Spyder with Weissach Package does 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds The trio of hypercars currently vying for the title of the ultimate supercar – McLaren P1, LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder – have all taken similar – but different – routes to performance, although they’ve all ended up with remarkably similar statistics. But the Porsche 918 Spyder has already scored a direct hit with a record time of 6:57s round the Nurburgring and now, ahead of the first customer cars finally reaching their homes, Porsche has revealed improved performance for the 918 Spyder with the Weissach Package fitted. Performance from 0-62mph is just 2.6 seconds (2.8 seconds without the Weissach Package), 124mph is reached in 7.2 seconds (0.5s quicker) and 186mph in 19.9 seconds (2.1 s quicker).
