Motor Engine 307 (3161 Gm 5.0l G) Complete Running Motor (bop) With Gm Thm 350 on 2040-parts.com

For sale is a complete and running 307 GM 5.0 L (POM) small block motor. This motor comes with a GM Turbo Hydromatic 350 Transmission. The engine is on a test stand in my garage, so you can come here start the engine, see and hear it run. It is marked with (3161 GM 5.0 L G).  I have bought car stuff from this gentleman before and they have always been as he described. Having said that I have not seen the Transmission run but I am confident it is in as good of shape as the Engine. The numbers from the Tranny are as follows, 10W 273122 For the engine I have replaced the oil pan (with a OEM used pan) because the drain plug housing was cracked, and I replaced the external mechanical fuel pump with a new one, replaced the oil and filter. It starts up immediately, idles, runs strong no smoke, or noises that should not be there. This motor was made for several years, it fits in several cars from 1979 Malibu Wagons to 1986 Cutlass Supremes, and It will also fit in many small block Chevrolet cars. It has the 5A cast iron heads, A4 intake and cast iron exhaust manifolds, the engine is known for its low end torque.  I bought it from an estate sale Guy in San Diego where the Engine and Tranny were found in an older gentleman's basement. . She idles at 40 PSI oil pressure. (I have an oil pressure guage on my home made engine stand). I am selling both the engine and tranny as a pair, I do not want to split them up.
