Ferrari launches Tailor-Made program
Thu, 08 Dec 2011Following an initial reveal at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in September, Ferrari recently announced a new personalization program that will enable owners to create a highly individual and unique vehicle. The latest in a long line of manufacturers to begin offering highly personalized cars for individual owners, Ferrari's take is far more ambitious. The new Tailor-Made program harks back to the 1960s when each Ferrari was custom made to suit the desires of each individual owner and offers a multitude of infinitely personalizable options. The new Tailor-Made program allows owners to specify every last detail of their Ferrari – from the exterior color to the interior stitching – through an extensive list of accessories, materials and unique finishes created by the Ferrari Styling Center.
NHTSA unveils new safety ratings; BMW and Hyundai first to get five stars
Tue, 05 Oct 2010The 2011 BMW 5-series and the Hyundai Sonata were the first two cars to achieve five-star ratings under NHTSA's revised safety ratings announced on Tuesday. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will rate a total of 24 cars, 20 SUVs, nine pickups and two vans for the 2011 model year. The federal agency has significantly modified its rating process and will now grade side-pole testing and crash-prevention technologies such as lane-departure warning and electronic stability control.

Lister Cars was founded by George Lister in 1954 and its Jaguar-based ‘Lister Knobbly’ race cars were among the most competitive cars in motor racing during the late 1950s. In May 2013 three existing companies - George Lister Engineering of Cambridge, Brian Lister Light Engineering and Lister Storm – were amalgamated following investment by Warranty Wise to create Lister Motor Company Limited.
