Motorcraft SW 1028 Switch Assembly D1FZ-7A247-A. The Ford Part number indicates a foreign/Trans Am Racing usage. It is probably for a 1971 Cortina or Capri. Just guessing though
This part came from the estate of a 35 year Ford parts man who kept it after it was removed from the vehicle and a new one installed. This to me indicates that there probably is nothing wrong with the switch.

Road safety charity Brake and insurance company Direct Line found that 31% of all drivers admit to ‘head-nodding’ at the wheel – meaning they’ve fallen asleep while driving a car for between two and 30 seconds.
