These chaps have been well maintained and have never been in a pouring rain. These belong to my wife and she did not ride every time with me. The are definitely gently worn.  I have cleaned them when dirty with saddle soap and used fresh black polish to keep them looking their best and to help maintain suppleness. These are MOB leather chaps . I did buy 2 pair when I bought this pair. The other pair is listed on another auction. I no longer have my motorcycle is the reason for offering them for auction.

A humble call for some civility

I made an all-too-rare appearance at my local gym the other day. I could tell it was too rare because people looked genuinely surprised to see me. Got there around 7 a.m.

Video: BMW’s beautiful Design Portrait of Karim Habib

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We're often inundated with videos from OEMs. Many are thinly-disguised PR-laden party political broadcasts but occasionally we're presented with gems such as this Design Portrait of Karim Habib from BMW. Ok so we don't really believe the Head of Design, BMW Automobiles sits dreamily sketching at a perfect desk with only a delicate espresso for company or that he cruises Munich in a (gorgeous) 2002 tii oldtimer for inspiration, but as an insight into what makes Habib tick, his design philosophy, and how he came to be in such a position, it's a beautifully-shot treat.

SEMA 2008 show report: Ford F-150, Mustang and Flex

Thu, 06 Nov 2008

By Phil McNamara Motor Shows 06 November 2008 09:30 Ford's stand was dominated by four models: the Flex, a slammed, seven-seat SUV with Range Rover-styling cues; the iconic F-150 pick up; the Focus; and, of course, the Mustang. With an ear-splitting V8 roar, Ford unveiled a 50-edition run of the Cobra Jet Mustang, and the F-150 SVT Raptor, a go-anywhere extreme version of the pick-up, which will bounce across sand dunes in the Baja California race later this month before going on sale next year. But tucked away in a corner was a less environmentally destructive F-150, shaped by British engineering firm PML.
