£70 fine for seven-second parking gaff

A CHARITY worker has learned a pricey lesson after being fined £70 by a council for a seven-second stop on zig-zag lines outside a school. Joyce Sale was dropping off charity concert leaflets at the primary school when she was captured by a parking camera car operated by Birmingham City Council. She then received a council letter in the post with details of the penalty notice, working out at £10 for every second her car was stopped.

Former GM design manager Dan Darancou has become Chief Designer at CH-Auto, a major Chinese car design studio that supports numerous domestic car manufacturers as well as international car companies looking to sell vehicles in the burgeoning automotive market. Darancou, who started his new role on November 1, will be overseeing all design activities as well as facilitating the liaison between the styling and engineering departments so the company can deliver complete ready-for-production vehicles and services. The Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M completed the Goodwood Hillclimb in just 59 seconds One of the major attractions is the Goodwood Hillclimb, where cars tackle a 1.16 mile uphill course through the Parklands of Goodwood House. Cars race along an avenue of trees, past the front of Goodwood House and up a steep estate road – lined with flint walls and woodland – to arrive at the finish on Goodwood’s Equine Racecourse, overlooking the South Downs. Practice takes place throughout the weekend, with up to 200 cars competing.
