McLaren P1 – the new F1 / P12 arrives
Tue, 18 Sep 2012The McLaren P1 – spiritual successor to the legendary McLaren F1 – has been revealed ahead of a public debut at Paris 2012. It’s been a long time coming, but the new McLaren P1 – the name for what we’ve thought of as the McLaren P12 or new F1 – has finally been unveiled. As expected, the new McLaren P1 has more dramatic styling than the MP4-12C with its aerodynamic parts matt black and the flowing contours of the dramatic body painted, with headlights offering a nod to McLaren’s logo and a roof scoop that’s reminiscent of the F1′s.

Sun, 22 Feb 2009Audi A5 and Audi S5 Cabriolets announced With the Audi A5 Cabriolet and the Audi S5 Cabriolet scheduled for launch in the Spring, Audi has released details of both models today, together with a whole heap of images. The A5 Cabriolet offers up four petrol versions – 1.8TFSI, 2.0TSI (in either 180bhp or 210bhp guise) and a 3.2FSI – and a couple of diesels – the 2.7TDI and the 3.0TDI. The S5 Cabriolet gets the new Supercharged V6 with 333bhp we told you about in November.
Reliant Robin now a classic vehicle
Thu, 20 Mar 2014THE RELIANT ROBIN, a vehicle popularised by Del Boy Trotter in the Only Fools And Horses TV show, is now classed as a classic vehicle thanks to changes in the Budget. Chancellor George Osborne announced that a rolling 40-year vehicle excise duty (VED) for classic cars will come in on April 1 this year. Until now, only cars built before January 1 1973 were exempt from VED.
