WIRELESS SELF-CONTAINED MOTORHOME TOW VEHICLE BRAKE MONITORING SYSTEM
Monitor What Matters: your toad's actual brakes...not your supplemental braking system.

As a motorhome owner wanting to remotely monitor my towed vehicle's actual braking system (instead of just the proper functioning of my BrakeBuddy unit), I searched for a better solution than running a hard-wire wire from the front of my RV to the brake light circuit of my towed vehicle.  Not able to find a solution to this problem, I developed my own self-contained wireless brake monitoring system.  This cost-effective system works so well I want to share it with other motorhome owners who also want to know with 100% certainly when the brakes of their towed vehicle are actually being applied (or even worse, dragging).

This self-contained system includes a wireless transmitter that taps into the brake light wire of your towed vehicle (simple 15 minute installation) and a receiver unit that plugs into your coach cigarette lighter socket.  Any time the brake lights illuminate on your towed vehicle (i.e. when your supplemental braking system presses the brake pedal) the wireless transmitter sends a signal to the receiver unit which activates a bright red LED indicator light that mirrors the brake light activity of your towed vehicle; enabling you to fully monitor your toad's braking activity in real time from the driver's seat of your coach. The system is fully compatible with any supplemental braking device that depresses the towed vehicle's actual brake pedal (ex. BrakeBuddy, BlueOx, RoadMaster, ReadyBrake, Mountain Master, SMI Detla Force, RViBrake, Roadmaster EvenBrake, etc.)

The system operates at 315 MHz (the same frequency & unique coded security as garage door openers) to ensure solid interference free performance with any size coach/vehicle combination and/or weather conditions.

NOTE: A permanent dash mount version is also available for same cost (replaces cigarette lighter receiver an with under dash receiver unit & a single LED to mount in dash)  Send me eBay message for additional information.

Package includes everything you need for installation & operation:

  • Transmitter Unit (quick disconnect removable transmitter unit is powered by brake signal & does not require batteries)
  • Receiver Unit (plugs into standard cigarette lighter socket & also includes a powered USB port for phone charging, etc.)
  • Transmitter Wire  (used to connect the transmitter to your brake light wiring)
  • All necessary connectors (3M T-Taps, DC connector, etc.)
  • Velcro Mounting Pad (used to mount the transmitter in the towed vehicle for easy install / removal)
  • Receiver Installation Shim  (optional: used to tighten receiver plug in lighter socket, if required)
  • Installation and Operating Guide (step by step, with pictures)

Item will be shipped next business day via Priority Mail and includes a 14 day money back guarantee (buyer to pay return shipping).

Mercedes AMG GT revealed – but just the interior

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

The interior of the new Mercedes AMG GT The Mercedes SLS is coming towards the end of its shelf life and, although it’s not getting a direct replacement, the new Mercedes AMG GT will fill the void left by the SLS. Due to be revealed at the Paris Motor Show in October, Mercedes has decided to throw in a bit of a sneak peak at the AMG GT ahead of that and take a bit of the gloss off some of the new reveals at the New York and Beijing Motor Shows this month. So we get a look at the interior of the AMG GT in two photos (above) which show a cabin that makes it clear the AMG GT has a healthy dose of Grand Tourer in its nature, with lashings of leather and technology to make the AMG GT’s cabin a pleasant place to be.
