Here are a pair of used mounting bracket assemblies from a 1969 Evinrude 115hp freshwater 2-stroke outboard motor.  OEM part numbers are 0278848 for the port side and 0278849 for the starboard side.  Similar brackets were used on many 1960s up to 1972 model year 55 - 125 hp 3-cylinder and V4 outboards, as well as the 1974 & 1975 short shaft 3-cylinder 70 hp models.  Wiring, plugs and terminal ends are in good shape.  Motor still ran, but was parted out due to loss of compression in one cylinder.  All parts are sold AS IS for PARTS ONLY with no warranty expressed or implied so please ask all questions prior to bidding. Peugeot will show this SXC crossover concept at next week’s 2011 Shanghai auto show. It’s a large hybrid 4x4 designed in Peugeot’s Chinese styling studio and shows a few pointers for how a future crossover could look. We’ll take that to mean the next 4007 then.

European car sales down 9.6% Jan 2013. VW Golf sales down 17.8%

Car sales in Europe continue to decline with sales down 9.6% in January 2013 and the top-selling VW Golf down by 17.8%. In fact, the UK was the only top five market to increase sales, with Germany down 8.6 per cent, France down 15.1 per cent, Italy down 17.6 per cent and Spain 9.2 per cent. Other notable drops included the Netherlands which saw a huge drop of 30.4 per cent, partly driven by tighter emission boundaries on company car taxation.
