Features This carburetor base gasket is made from a durable heat-resistant nitrite rubber compound material and is precision die-cut to ensure a proper fit. It comes in a 1/16'' thickness and will help eliminate fuel boiling and vapor lock caused by heat conducted from the manifold to the carburetor. It provides torque retention, crush resistance, and sheer strength and seals using low clamp force while releasing easily. It will not stick to carburetor or intake manifold and can be reused. Mon, 25 Jan 2010General Motors will develop and build electric motors for a rear-wheel-drive hybrid to launch in 2013. GM claims to be the first major U.S. automaker to produce electric motors in-house and says it is investing $246 million in the project.
Government abandons plan to make driving test tougher
Sat, 24 May 2014Proposals to make learning to drive much tougher in a bid to improve road safety amongst young people have been abandoned by the government, Radio 1’s Newsbeat reports. The changes would have involved the introduction of a probationary licence for the first 12 months, a curfew on driving late at night and compulsory lessons on motorway driving. But plans have been scraped because they would restrict young drivers’ lives too much.
McLaren to bring F1 GTR, LM and Longtail to Goodwood
Tue, 18 Jun 2013McLaren is taking the 24 Hours of Le Mans off this year -- actually, it has taken the last 14 years off -- and is instead concentrating on a British tradition: the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The company confirmed it would bring the 1995 Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR to take on the hill this year. It will be joined by the one-off prototype McLaren F1 LM, as well as the Gulf-liveried McLaren F1 GTR Longtail, which claimed second place in 1997.
