This 40th anniversary special
edition MSD 6AL box marks 40 years of ignition performance for MSD. The
ignition box features a one off cast logo. They are numbered
individually and only 4,000 units were produced. These special edition
boxes come with vintage MSD 40th anniversary decals and a limited life
time warranty. The powerful capacitive discharge and multiple sparks
ensure complete combustion of the air/fuel mixture. The box comes with
4 different RPM plugs to make for on the go rev limiting. This box will
virtually work with any 4, 6, or 8 cylinder vehicle with a distributor,
as long as it has a 12-18 volt electrical system.

Vauxhall Astra GTC finally arrives at Frankfurt
The Vauxhall Astra GTC (and its European equivalent Opel GTC) finally gets to go on public view at Frankfurt this week, a year after it arrived as a concept at Paris. Based on the more prosaic five-door Astra, the GTC carries over just about nothing except the door handles although it still conspires to look like a slightly squashed, butch version of its sibling. The Astra GTC is a decent looking effort from Vauxhall – as is the regular Astra – designed to take the fight to cars like the Scirroco.

Hyundai has appointed former Peugeot WRC technical director Michel Nandan to head up their assault on WRC. As Hyundai matures in to a credible mainstream force, improving brand perception is crucial to its long-term goals and 2012 is all about improving Hyundai’s brand experience and perceptions of the brand. A part of that focus is to take Hyundai back in to WRC rallying with a much modified i20, where Hyundai are hoping for a better experience than they had when they went rallying a decade ago – which should be a given considering the big strides Hyundai has made in its cars in the last few years.
