In an attempt to keep costs down and racing close, many dirt track
racing sanctioning bodies across the country institute a mandatory rpm
limit in several classes. MSD has been in close contact with many
tracks over the years and thanks to their input, as well as that of the
racers, we are excited to introduce an rpm limiter designed for the
Saturday night racer! The new MSD Digital Soft-Touch HEI Rev Limiter is
designed to plug into nearly any HEI distributor and produces an
accurate, smooth rev limiting action. The rpm limit is adjustable from
3,000 – 9,900 rpm via two rotary dials with an easy to- view LED to
display the value. A unique feature of the this Limiter is its ability
to record the highest rpm reached during a race. This is useful
information for the race team, as well as tech officials. Also, if the
Limiter loses any connection or is manipulated during a race a fault
code will be displayed. The Limiter is encased in epoxy for protection
against the abuse of dirt track racing. For use with GM style HEI
distributors on V8 engines only.

Reconditioned products consist of products that were originally sold
new, or sent out as demo units, these products were then returned,
sometimes without even being opened. Once we receive a product back, it
is tested and then reconditioned to original factory specifications by
Manufacturer-trained technicians. The testing process assures that the
product meets the same stringent quality standards that are required
for new products.
Since these products may show signs of a previous installation, minor
wear or other cosmetic defect our policy is not to sell them as
new. Rather than scrapping them, we are making them directly
available to the public. Not only does this help us control the
costs of our new products, it allows you to get a great deal on a
like-new product!

Warranty
& Return Policy
- MSD
Factory Refurbished products are warranted for a period of 90 days from
date of sale for defects in material and workmanship. Any defective
items will be repaired or replaced at MSD’s discretion.
- In the
unlikely event you have a problem with your Factory Reconditioned
product, please call MSD's tech line at (915) 855-7123, Should
a tech service associate determine that it is necessary to return
the item for repair or replacement, you will be given instructions and
a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA).
- Buyer is
responsible for return shipping; however, MSD will cover shipping the
repaired or replaced item back to the buyer.
- Expedited
freight may be available upon request and at buyer’s expense.
- This
Factory Reconditioned Warranty supersedes any new product warranty that
may be included in your kit.

Subaru are teasing the BRZ STI (pictured)
The Subaru BRZ – the Subaru take on the Toyota GT86 – has the potential to be a lot more hardcore than its current setup allows. That has led to much speculation that Subaru will bolt a turbo on to the BRZ’s Boxer engine to produce a BRZ with something closer to the 300bhp we originally expected. In fact, at the end of 2011, Subaru in the US confirmed there would be a turbo version of the engine in the BRZ, although they fell short of actually confirming the BRZ itself would get it as an option, but at the end of 2012 we had a report that the BRZ will get the turbo engine and that it will deliver 280bhp.

These are the first pictures of the forthcoming Peugeot 308 that replaces the 307. The car will compete predominantly in the lower medium European C-sector along with the Opel Astra, Ford Focus, the class leading Volkswagen Golf, and its PSA sibling: the Citroen C4. The 308 is expected to make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and be available at launch in 3 and 5 door hatchback body styles with other variants including an estate to follow. The design builds on the tall proportions established by its predecessor and some of the features that the 207 introduced as well as appearing to have been influenced by some Mercedes designs.

The winners of the inaugural Car Design Awards China competition were announced at a glamorous ceremony in the studios of CH-Auto during the Beijing auto show in April, marking the culmination of successful competition. Seven talented students – who had responded to briefs set by GM, PSA Peugeot Citroen, SAIC (with its MG brand) and Volkswagen – were presented with awards in five categories, and five were given the opportunity to attend Northumbria University's Transportation Design course, in the UK, on a two week placement. The five students – Bingyang Hu, Geng Li, Yanchao Wang, Kaiji Pu and Liang Chen – began this exciting, yet challenging journey in December 2009, when they entered the 2010 Car Design Awards China competition.
