MSD 8983

Vari-Curve Controller

Through extensive dyno testing, MSD engineers found that in certain engine applications, such as restrictor plate engines, by advancing the timing after peak torque has been accomplished, even more torque can be achieved! The Vari-Curve Timing Controller gives you complete control over your timing curve by letting you retard or advance it.
The Vari-Curve allows you to select the rpm that you want your timing curve to begin and end at along with how many degrees of retard or advance! All of this is easily adjusted with plug-in modules. If you really want to get tricky, you can use an MSD Two Step Module Selector to provide two different amounts of timing change.
Also, for nitrous or turbo engines there are two separate retard modules that can be activated at different times by solenoids, or an MSD RPM Activated Switch. To ease starting on locked-out timing engines, there is a 10 or 25 start retard.
The Vari-Curve is easy to install with your MSD Ignition and is simple to adjust with no programs or codes to memorize. The Vari-Curve can be used on 4, 6 or 8-cylinder engines and must be used with an MSD Ignition Control.

Car Design News had received information from a reliable source within PSA about Authier's supposed move, however we have since spoken to Pierre, who was keen to put the record straight: “I read the flattering article on my recruitment as VP of Design for Opel/Vuaxhall, but this information is false,” he told CDN. “I am really enjoying my position at Peugeot and with the 208 family team that has made such incredible work.” The search for the missing piece in the GM puzzle continues.

But it’s not as far away as we thought.
