For 2002-2006 MINI Cooper S (R53), a complete ignition upgrade to complement the addition of a supercharger reduction pulley. Includes a direct replacement coil, Iridium Plugs and 8.5mm Competition plug wires designed with improved materials and windings to produce a stronger output. More spark = more power! Magnecor's KV85 Competition (8.5mm) Ignition Cables feature Magnecor's
exclusive 2.5mm high capacity Metallic Inductance EMI Suppressed
conductor consisting of stainless steel wire precisely wound at 200
turns per inch over a ferromagnetic core. The insulating jacket is made
entirely of Magnecor's exclusive TC-1500-HS high strength aerospace
grade silicone rubber, and its single layer construction will prolong
the jacket's insulating ability by conducting extreme heat away from
hot-spots that occur near over-the-limit heat sources. The Iridium IX is a single electrode plug and is available as a 'colder'
range plug for modified Cooper S models with 15% or 17% reduction SC
pulley. Iridium plugs are considered better than Platinum because of
increased durability and a higher melting point as well having higher
resistance to oxidation and erosion. Designed specifically for the
performance enthusiast. Iridium IX® offers extreme ignitability,
improved throttle response and superior anti fouling. The Iridium plugs are one-step colder to take advantage of increased pressure and temperatures from the addition of a reduction supercharger pulley (sold separately).
Coilpack (MSD 8239):
This improved spark helps burn the fuel mixture more efficiently, resulting in a smooth idle and improved midrange RPM power
The coil is designed to deliver a strong spark and will connect to factory wiring
The MSD coil features flat terminals, please check your current coilpack before ordering
May require use of four replacement bolts (not included), but you can find them at your local hardware store or home center.
8.5 mm Super Conductor Plug Wire Set (45425): The KV85 8.5mm jacket has a service heat resistance of 600 degrees F
(320 degrees C) and up to 1,000 degrees F (540 degrees C) for short
burst 3 minutes. Even if limits are exceeded, the silicone rubber will
retain its insulating ability until wires are removed from engine.
MagnecorRace Wires are primarily designed and constructed to be used in
applications where it is essential to prevent the possibility of
ignition wires compromising engine performance. Modern race engines,
modified street engines and stock street engines which rely on
electronic devices to control the function of either or both the
ignition and fuel systems are prone to interference from all other
spiral conductor ignition wires sold through performance parts outlets,
none of which can provide proper suppression for EMI, particularly if a
high-output ignition system is used.
NGK's IX Iridium Series Plugs were Designed Specifically for the Performance Enthusiast. Priced per set of 4 plugs.
Fine Wire Center Electrode Ensures High Durability and a Consistently Stable Spark
Iridium Alloy has an Extremely High Melting Point, Perfect for Today's High-Tech, High Performance Engines
Trivalent Metal Plating Provides Superior Anti-Corrosion and Anti-Seizing Properties
Corrugated Ribs Prevent Flashover
Pure Alumina Silicate Ceramic Insulator, Provides Superior Strength and Better Heat Transfer

What’s this? It looks like a Murcielago auditioning for the Batmobile! It’s actually the Lamborghini Reventon, a €1m special of which only 20 will be built.
One of four original Ford GT40 racer prototypes has sold at auction in the US for a staggering $7 million. That's £4.2 million. The Ford GT40 is famous for several things – being the product of Ford’s frustrated attempt to buy Ferrari, becoming an enormously successful Le Mans winning racing car and standing just 40 inches tall.
This is the new Citroën DS3 WRC, just unveiled at the 2010 Paris motor show. And it’s the car that everyone interested in world rallying has been waiting for – it’s Sébastien Loeb’s wheels for the 2011 World Rally Championship. Okay, we know it’s not as highly anticipated as the Mini Countryman WRC, but the reason we’re excited is that this could be the car to end Loeb’s reign – the Frenchman has won the last six WRC titles, will almost certainly take his seventh this year, but having an all-new car will hopefully reset the field and give Ford’s Fiesta RS WRC a chance.
