Msd8600 Chevy Small Block 6" Balancer Crank Trigger Kit on 2040-parts.com
Granger, Texas, United States
This is a new MSD 8600 Chevy Small Block 6" Balancer Crank Trigger Kit. Description: For a long time, racers have known that one of the best things to do to an engine to improve its performance is to stabilize the ignition timing. The MSD Flying Magnet Crank Trigger system does exactly that by using four magnets embedded in an aluminum wheel. Although similar in appearance to other crank triggers, the MSD Flying Magnet design works on a different principle. Most crank triggers have a wheel, with steel studs sticking out, bolted to the harmonic balancer. As the crankshaft turns, the studs pass by a stationary magnetic pickup, triggering the ignition. This pickup can be triggered by other bolts, debris or even vibrations which will cause a loss of power or engine damage. The MSD Flying Magnet Crank Trigger uses four magnets secured in the aluminum trigger wheel that pass by a stationary non-magnetic pickup to trigger the ignition. This “flying magnet” design produces accurate trigger signals and the non-magnetic pickup cannot be false triggered. Features: Additional Benefits: Each Flying Magnet Crank Trigger includes a two-piece mounting bracket for the non-magnetic pickup that in most cases will work on either the passenger side or driver’s side of the engine (the SB Chrysler and SB Ford brackets mount on only one side). The CNC-machined aluminum bracket on engines with a .25” motor plate. These systems will trigger MSD 6, 7, and 8-series. We have over 570 performance equipment manufacturers to choose from. Jaguar F-Type Coupe revealed – sort of
Fri, 03 May 2013But, as expected, Jaguar are heading full tilt towards a production F-Type Coupe that will follow the lines of the appealing CX-16, as evidenced by the patent image filings (above) acquired by Auto Motor und Sport. The show an F-Type Coupe that delivers almost all of the style the CX-16 did – just as Land Rover managed when they turned the LRX in to the Range Rover Evoque – which will disappoint no one. In fact, the coupe – with its roof line flowing down from the A-pillar right to the tail – is better looking than the Roadster and more evocative of the E-Type.
Jaguar Lightweight E-Type makes a comeback after 50 years – 6 new Lightweights to be built
Wed, 14 May 20146 new Jaguar Lightweight E-Types on the way Even in 1963, car makers made ‘special editions’ of production cars, and one such car was the Jaguar Lightweight E-Type, a lightweight version of the then new production E-Type designed to take Jaguar racing. This was in the days before carbon fibre panels, so Jaguar built many of the body panels from aluminium and fitted an aluminium block version of the 3.8 litre engine from the production E-Type with 300bhp (55bhp more than the road car), fuel injection and a ZF 5-speed gearbox. The Lightweight E-Type wasn’t a spectacular success on the track, and Jaguar ended up building just 12 of the original planned run of 18.
