MINI Countryman – Photos leak
Tue, 19 Jan 2010First 'Official' photos of the MINI Countryman Yesterday we brought you a report on the latest tease from MINI, this time a video of the new MINI Countryman all camouflaged up in yellow and black driving through a black and yellow camouflaged countryscape. Which told us precisely nothing. But now we get the first official photos of the MINI Countryman – but unofficially.
The Porsche P1 is lighter, greener and more exclusive than McLaren's new hypercar
Mon, 27 Jan 2014Long before the legendary Porsche 911 -- before, even, the Porsche 356 -- Ferdinand Porsche was tinkering with alternative powertrains and designing road-worthy vehicles. Though it wasn't the first vehicle to bear his name, the “Egger-Lohner electric vehicle, C.2 Phaeton model” was the earliest result of his efforts. Perhaps getting the jump on the modern alpha-numeric craze/plague, it was shortened to a simple “P1.” The P1 (we'll refer to it as the Porsche P1 from here on out to avoid confusion) made its first appearance in Vienna on June 26, 1898, and it didn't last long in the public eye: Before Porsche decided to pull it out and put it on display, it had reportedly been sitting in a warehouse, untouched, since 1902.
2012 Mercedes B-Class: Tease and Technical
Tue, 12 Jul 2011It's the 2012 Mercedes B-Class in the dark When we get a tease for a new car it’s usually just a shadowy image of the new wonder with all the detail taken away, in case we use Photoshop to bring it to life. Just like the photo (above) we got in of the 2012 Mercedes B-Class. But this teaser photo of the new B-Class is not just a bit of PR frippery, as it comes with a proper raft of detail on how much effort Mercedes has put in to the new B-Class, and just how much is new.
