For sale is a Close Ratio Transmission for 60 thru 74 GM products including Grand Sport Corvette, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Buick and Pontiac and is a rare opportunity to own a virtually brand new M-22 Close Ratio Rock Crusher Transmission with a completely new gearset. This transmission is a direct replacement for a Borg Warner T10, Saginaw, M-20 or M-21 with no other changes necessary to swap into your vehicle. If you have a 27 spline Muncie transmission your existing shifter will fit this transmission. This is about as close to a factory supplied transmission as you can get. #3851325 1" Case Assembly, #3846429 27 Spline Mainshaft Extension Assembly with DRIVERS side speedo, #3831707 Shift Cover Assembly and Aftermarket Bearing Retainer.

Be very wary of some of the sellers on E-Bay listing transmissions with new gears but photographs depicting used gears, the use of silicone instead of gaskets, high quality gaskets and High Tack Gasket Sealant only.

DO NOT purchase a transmission without French Locks on the front bearing retainer, this may allow the retainer to come loose from throw out bearing vibration, only GM type French Locks on my Transmissions!

DO NOT  purchase an M22 without a drain plug, you will have no way to effectively remove all of the gear lube including metallic particles that will continue to circulate and eventually lead to premature failure.

All my transmission cases have the Countershaft bores re-bored using a parallel boring process where the counterbore and the mainshaft are truly parallel. This process also produces a virgin counterpin opening thereby assuring a tight, leak free press fit.

All my photographs are of the actual transmission you will receive. Be very wary of sellers using file photos or multiple product sales, you may be disappointed when the transmission you thought you purchased is not the one depicted in the pictures.

Some are even depicting Saginaw`s as M22`s!

Mystery Muncie First Gear noise eliminated.

Buy with confidence from a seller that works very hard to maintain positive feedback satisfaction. Be sure to read my Feedback comments prior to purchasing any Transmission.

And by the way all my M22`s come standard with the Rock Crusher Blower Like Whine!

Autoweek Design Forum 2007

Wed, 28 Feb 2007

The North American International Auto Show press days were followed again this year by the AutoWeek Design Forum. For this 14th edition of the Forum, the organizers picked 'Design for Success' as a theme for the conferences. And this theme was quite relevant given the gloomy forecasts made by some about the financial health of the Detroit-based car manufacturers.

RM Auctions' Icons sale brings good return on customs

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Hot-rod and custom-car enthusiasts came from across the country for RM Auctions' Icons of Speed and Style sale in Los Angeles on Saturday, which offered the entire collection of the Flying A Garage. Collector Ralph Whitworth had big plans to open a car museum in his native Winnemucca, Nev., and had assembled one of the greatest rod, custom and racing-car collections ever to make it happen. He housed it in a new, climate-controlled building in Winnemucca called the Flying A Garage and had plans to open a museum to draw interest to his hometown.
