This Gear Upgrade Kit includes everything you'll need. Ford Racing Speedometer Recalibration Tool, Ford Racing 3.73 Gears (86-11 GT), and 3 bottles of Royal Purple 75w90 Gear Oil, just add a mechanic for the install and you will be traveling the quarter-mile a lot quicker.
Recalibration Tool. The Ford Racing Speedometer Recalibration Tool will correct your speedometer for rear gear and tire size changes with No reprogramming of PCM necessary.
3.73 Rear End Gears. These Ford Racing 3.73 Mustang ring and pinion gears will improve your bite off the line for quicker ET's. These gears feature a super strong forged construction, CNC cut & lapped gear teeth, and a black oxide finish to resist corrosion.
Royal Purple. Max-Gear is an ultra-tough, high performance, GL-5 automotive gear oil designed to provide maximum protection to heavily loaded gears while maximizing power output throughout the entire drive train.
Application. This Ford Racing Calibration and Gear Kit is designed to fit 1994 to 2010 V8 Ford Mustangs equipped with a 8.8" rear end. A master bearing kit is recommended by most installers, especially on high mileage vehicles.
The Ford Racing Speedometer Recalibration Tool will work on the 1994-2004 automatic and manual Mustang's as well as 2005-2010 manual Mustangs. 2005-2010 automatic Mustangs are limited to the equivalent of one step higher or lower gear change ratio (< /- 10% change).
