Here we have a very rare Ford factory original 4 speed crossmember for a 67 or 68 69 or 70 390GT or Shelby GT500 428 Cobra Jet equipped with a Big Input 4 speed transmission. This clean original piece has a special design to support the big block 4 speed to line it up with the motor. We detailed and inspected, and found to be without damage, welds, breaks, or repairs, and is stamped 390 STD. This auction is for one crossmember correct for your application.

Ford engineers found it necessary to design a stronger crossmember to handle the additional torque and stress produced by these high-output engines. Stronger, heavier gauge steel, and Ford's superior design make this the perfect complement to that 390 or 428 equipped with one of Ford's Big Input Transmission.

Whether performing a transmission swap, an engine rebuild, or replacing a damaged or missing crossmember, this piece is sure to please, bringing that car back to factory design specification.

This is just a part of our extensive inventory of Crossmembers, Toploaders, Dagenhams, T10's, automatic transmissions, C4's, C6's, bellhousings, spacers, rear ends (Trac Loc's and open), and other parts and accessories that we select from for our weekly eBay auctions. Payment Information

Note: Delivery rates are determined by your geographical location. For an accurate quote please include your zip (postal) code with your request. While we welcome our international bidders, costly shipping has caused many buyers, who otherwise pay promptly, to become non paying bidders. PLEASE ask for a shipping quote before bidding or you WILL be responsible for all auction costs should you not complete your contract, as we DO report non paying bidders.

U.S. Residents: We accept Credit card and Paypal payments. For your convenience other options are also available, please notify us of your payment preference before bidding. If you wish to pay COD and are close enough to pick up the item feel free to contact us to make an appointment.

International Customers: We do not accept Paypal on international orders. Please do not bid if this is your method of payment. Per company policy, international customers must contact us before bidding to receive payment instructions. Please e-mail us, as we must pre-approve the method of payment in order for it to be valid.

Florida Residents will be charged the standard 7% sales tax.

Shipping

NOTE: Before we can ship your order you must supply phone numbers.

The first is a home number for purchase verification. The second is a work, cell, or delivery (if different from home) number in case there is a problem during delivery.

Shipping is processed when payment is received. We usually ship via UPS. You must specify at auction close, which you prefer or it will be defaulted to UPS. Tracking number can be provided if requested.

Shipment usually takes 3 - 5 days from payment unless delayed. Delays are based on the order in which the payments are processed, complete information, touch ups (if necessary) and any special packaging needs. Occasionally shipments may be delayed due to car shows, or previous commitments. We strive to process your shipments as quickly as possible and will do everything possible to get your item to you as soon as we can.

United States Postal Service carries an additional $25.00 charge for package drop off at nearest station.

Sellers are not responsible for service transit time. Transit times are provided by the carrier, exclude weekends and holidays. Delivery times may vary with package origin, destination, size and weight particularly during peak periods.

CARS 2: The Queen & Prince Wheeliam

Sat, 30 Apr 2011

Prince Wheeliam - in a Bentley Continental? It’s one of those weekends where Royal stories will abound, so it made a bit of sense – to us at least – to make mention of the Royal and London connections in the upcoming Disney Pixar sequel – CARS 2. Topically – there’s a surprise – we have a Prince Wheeliam, which appears to be Bentley Continental GT-esque (who decided that, we wonder?) and The Queen seems to be a regal Rolls Phantom with a Crown on her roof.

Cloud rises over diesel plan for Nissan Maxima

Wed, 18 Mar 2009

Nissan North America may postpone a V6 diesel engine planned for the Maxima sedan in 2010. Since the company revealed its Maxima diesel plan two years ago, gasoline prices have fallen dramatically, auto sales have collapsed and Nissan has begun reviewing product plans as it scrambles to restore profitability. "We haven't reached a decision on the diesel yet, but we have to consider where we want to put our capital investments," says Larry Dominique, North American vice president for product planning.

College Exhibition: Creapole MA Degree Show 2009

Fri, 03 Apr 2009

Creapole, a design school offering degrees in a range of disciplines, held its MA Transportation Design show last week at its campus in Paris, France. The masters students, now in their fifth year of study, have been preparing for the show through the school's intensive program, which includes sociological, ecological and anthropological studies during the fourth year. In the fifth year, program directors Alec Moran and Cyril Randuineau allowed the students to develop a vehicle based on their own theme and invited jury members from the design community to come by and give the students feedback on their various projects.
