1969-1970 Mustang Boss 302 429 Bud Moore, Shelby Team, Trans-Am, American Magnesium TA70 wheel set and correct cantilevered Blue Streak Goodyear racing slicks 25 x 9.5 and 27 x 11 with original stickers still on them. These were widened by a certified magnesium welder using the "lathe" technique, to meet the changing rules of SCCA Trans-Am in early 1970s. 9.5 x 15 fronts and 10.5 x 15 rears, with backspacing shown and Ford 4.5" x 5 bolt pattern. They have been recently restored, checked and certified safe by a known magnesium racing wheel manufacture. Stickers and decals included.
This is a very rare example of Ford’s racing history in NASCAR in the hay day of racing. The Minivan, once the symbol of suburban America, had fallen out of favor - its dowdy, "soccer mom" image eschewed in exchange for upscale, aggressive SUVs. According to Mays, the idea with the Fairlane was to "move people emotionally as well as physically", something few minivans had done before.
