Last weekend saw the Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance event in the Queen’s weekend back garden with cars from every year of Her Majesty’s reign gathered to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. BMW is taking a calculated risk by installing an automatic stop/start system on its best seller, the 3-series, for 2012. But company brass is optimistic that American consumers will adjust to the relatively foreign technology. Honda also says the FCEV concept previews a potential design direction for its next-generation fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV) launching in the U.S and Japan in 2015 and later in Europe.
