New Lexus RC Coupe for 2013 Tokyo Motor Show

Could this be a late entry into our gallery of the scariest cars to see in your rear-view mirror? It’s called the Lexus RC Coupe, and it’s a brand new sporting three-door model from the Japanese luxury marque, headed for showrooms in 2014. Before then it will debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show on 20 November.

First Sight: Holden Torana concept

Holden has stolen the limelight at the opening of the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, unveiling a ground-up concept car dubbed the Torana TT36. The concept revives a famous Australian nameplate from the 1970s - appropriate since, like the original Torana, it features rear wheel drive and a six cylinder engine. That's where the similarities end, however, as the new Torana's engine is an experimental 280kW/490Nm twin turbocharged version of the new global V6 Holden has begun manufacturing for various parts of the GM world and which will eventually be used by Alfa Romeo.

Renault Sport RS 01

The Renault Sport RS 01 is the company's first series-production result of its intention to re-enter the sports car segment, as signalled by the DeZir and Alpine A 110-50 concepts. The car, however, is a track-only creation for the World Series by Renault racing championships. While we usually wouldn't cover racing cars, Renault's design department has clearly been heavily involved in the RS 01's development.
