MYCHRON 4

The MyChron4 is a powerful data acquisition gauge and digital display for kart racing. It combines a temperature gauge, tachometer, lap timer, and data logger into a compact, powerful unit that easily mounts to your steering wheel. It is a digital dash, gauge, and data logger with graphical and digital RPM (tach) indicator, automatic lap time, and temperature input for exhaust gas, cylinder head or water sensors.

The high-resolution graphic display displays large digits during race mode, smaller, easy to read text during setup and in menus, and shows analysis information such as torque curves and RPM "candlestick" graphs. Backlight in either amber or green, this gorgeous display can also display custom graphics like team logos and pictures.

The MyChron4 uses an internal 9V battery for extended performance. Specialised display modes for oval, sprint and road style racers are included. The MyChron4 also features 1 MB of memory for over 3 hours of data logging. Simplified configuration and easy to read menus make operating the MyChron4 a snap.

Volvo Concept XC Coupe at Detroit Auto Show – previews the new Volvo XC90 (+ video)

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The Volvo Concept XC Coupe (pictured) will debut at Detroit next month Volvo are heading to the Detroit Auto Show next month with the second of three concepts planned utilising their new scalable platform architecture which will underpin almost all future models – the Volvo Concept XC Coupe. The first of the three new concepts from Volvo came at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in September as the Volvo Concept Coupe – a new take on Volvo’s iconic P1800 – but this time we get a concept that points firmly at the new Volvo XC90, due in a year’s time as a 2015 model. We’ve already got some idea of what Volvo’s designers think the new XC90 should look like, but the styling cues on the Concept Coupe – and the teaser photos of the Concept XC Coupe (above) – give us a much clearer view of what Volvo are planning for one of their most successful cars.

Top Gear Tonight: African Road Trip to find the source of the Nile (Part 2)

Sun, 10 Mar 2013

The last episode of Top Gear Series 19 – episode 7 – airs tonight as the second part of the ‘Christmas Special’ to find the source of the Nile in Africa. According to Jeremy Clarkson, the reason we had no Top Gear last autumn, and the reason we’re seeing the Top Gear Christmas Special to find the source of the Nile in Africa in £1500 estates now, is that the BBC schedules were too crammed with stuff like the summer of sport, Strictly Come Dancing and I’m a Z-list Celebrity. But if the viewing figures for part 1 of the Top Gear special to find the source of the Nile are anything to go by, the Beeb would have been better airing Top Gear than the Autumn fodder of ‘reality’ shows last year, as Top Gear stuffed the current reality show – Dancing on Ice – in last Sunday’s ratings.
