Thu, 21 Aug 2014GOOD news for fans of the MG brand, as the firm has announced that its recently introduced 90th anniversary Limited Edition MG3 and MG6 vehicles are selling fast. With most of the 90 vehicles already sold out, MG has confirmed that if all 90 vehicles are sold within 90 days, one lucky customer will go on to win an MG3. The MG 90th Anniversary Limited Editions were launched at the MG90 event at Silverstone in June this year, where the Midlands based manufacturer celebrated 90 years of the iconic marque.
AUCTION GOES BANANAS FOR CLASSIC VW
Thu, 10 Oct 2013A VINTAGE 1950s Volkswagen Beetle owned by a pensioner will go under the hammer at an auction later this month. The classic car, which has picked up a number of awards, is expected to fetch around £9,000 when it appears alongside a selection of rare art and antiques in the McTear's Collectables sale in Glasgow on September 29. The 1953 Beetle, which is a 1200 Deluxe model, has been in the hands of 72-year-old Willie Black since 1966, the same year that VW gave it the Best Beetle in Britain accolade.
Ford recalls 14,737 pickups and crossovers
Thu, 30 Dec 2010Ford is recalling almost 15,000 vehicles, including some 2011 F-Series pickups, 2011 Lincoln MKXs and 2011 Ford Edges, to fix an electrical short in a body-control module that could cause a fire. Ford told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that modules built during a six-day period by a supplier could be faulty. So far, no injuries, crashes or fires have been reported.
