His role will be to assist the work of Geely Group Senior Vice Design President, Peter Horbury, in enhancing the Geely brand's design capacity. Ma was formerly Vice President of Design for Changan, a position he held for a year before resigning.

In many ways it reminds me of the interior on the previous model Range Rover Sport. The one I recently decried as “ill-conceived and felt low-rent”. The monster Merc dutifully delivers some monster performance figures – indeed, the firm’s actually had to electronically restrict its top speed to 186mph in order to protect the tyres – it would otherwise shoot way, way beyond the 200mph mark. The potency of this estate car is truly eye-watering.
