Ford Mondeo Vignale revealed – it’s back to the days of Ford Ghia
Wed, 04 Sep 2013The Ford Mondeo Vignale (picture) has been revealed as Ford’s new range-topper Mainstream car makers have always tried to add some glitz and gloss to their models by tagging on a badge they thought made their cars more exclusive. Like Ford with endless ‘Ghia’ models sitting at the top of the Ford range after they bought Ghia of Turin in 1970. 2014 Audi R8 to drop manual gearbox
Tue, 27 Dec 20112014 Audi R8 to lose manual gearbox It’s reported that the new Audi R8 – due in 2104 after a facelift in 2012 – will lose the manual gearbox option. It’s at least two years before the next generation Audi R8 arrives in 2014, but if reports from CAR are right then Audi’s next sporting flagship will do without a manual gearbox altogether. With all that’s on offer in the current R8 apart from the manual ‘box being the rather poor R-Tronic ‘box, that may seem like a recipe for sales disaster for the R8.

We heard rumours that the A7 would make an appearance at the Detroit Motor Show this month – but it didn’t – and the speculation has now moved on to the Geneva Motor Show in March.
