Hennessey reveals Venom GT supercar
Mon, 29 Mar 2010Texas tuner Hennessey Performance is taking a page out of the playbook of Carroll Shelby--drop a huge American V8 into a lightweight British chassis. The result is the Hennessey Venom GT, which melds high-performance Chevrolet Corvette and Lotus technology into a furious supercar. Borrowing from the Cobra's now-iconic template, the Venom GT broke cover on Monday and will come with the ZR1's supercharged 6.2-liter V8 modified to push out 725 hp.

The very last Mercedes McLaren SLR – The McLaren SLR Stirling Moss – has now rolled out of production at McLaren in Woking and both Mercedes and McLaren are going their seperate ways. McLaren is working to bring the new McLaren MP4-12C to market by 2011 as a replacement for the SLR, and Mercedes has already launched their replacement – the Mercedes SLS AMG Gulllwing – although it will be a few more months before cars hit the road.
