YOU PLACE THIS THICK INSULATED COVER OVER THE HUB AND ROTOR WHEN THEY ARE HOT TO WORK ON OTHER PARTS OF THE CAR. PERFECT FOR WHEN THE ROTORS, BRAKES AND HUBS ARE HOT AFTER RACING ON THE TRACK AND YOU NEED TO DO OTHER REPAIRS WITH THE WHEEL OFF. THERE IS A SLIT ON THE ONE SIDE AND THEY JUST SIMPLY SETS DOWN OVER THE HUB/ROTOR/SPINDLE/BRAKE ASSEMBLY OR REAR ROTOR HUB ASSEMBLY AND PREVENTS YOU FROM GETTING BURNT BY THE HOT COMPONENTS. THERE IS MINIMAL SNAGS OR VERY SMALL TEARS IN THE 3 LAYER MATERIAL, BUT NOTHING THAT EFFECTS ITS USE OR PURPOSE. THE FABRIC IS NATURALLY DIRTY FROM STUFF LIKE BRAKE DUST AND SO ON. MEASURES APPROX 18" x 18" x 6".

DIESEL pollution makes it harder for honeybees to find flowers - by changing the chemical make-up of their scent, scientists have found. Honeybees use floral odours to find flowers that will give the best yields of pollen and nectar. But diesel fumes can affect their ability to locate and recognise the plants, potentially affecting pollination and ultimately global food security, the study published in the journal Scientific Reports found.

Daimler marketing types reckon that buyers of its AMG go-faster cars could in many instances be equally interested in go-faster motorbikes of the sort Ducati specialise in, and vice versa.

The Audi A1 quattro snow testing in Canada
It did seem a strange omission by Audi not to have a quattro drivetrain for the ‘Only Premium Brand in its Sector’ Audi A1. And it was that lack of a quattro system for the A1 which apparently stopped the car that ended up being the Audi A1 1.4 TFSI from being launched as the Audi S1 at Paris last year. All of which has no doubt spurred Audi on to see development of a quattro platform for the A1.
